Syntax
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) Consultant to join our team with a focus on Application Managed Services (AMS). In this role, you will be responsible for providing ongoing support, maintenance, and optimization of SAP FICO applications for our clients.
This position requires strong technical and functional expertise in SAP FICO, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
AMS Support and Maintenance:
- Provide day-to-day support for SAP FICO modules, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, issues, and service requests related to SAP FICO applications.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement
Configuration and Customization:
- Perform system configurations, enhancements, and adjustments to meet client requirements.
- Collaborate with business users to design and implement tailored solutions within the SAP FICO framework.
Change Management:
- Manage and execute changes, including upgrades, patches, and new releases, with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Perform impact analysis for new requirements, and ensure proper testing and validation before deployment.
Process Optimization:
- Analyze and optimize financial and controlling processes to align with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for automating and streamlining processes within SAP FICO.
Client Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and providing expert advice.
- Conduct regular reviews to ensure client satisfaction and align AMS activities with business priorities.
Documentation and Training:
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and support activities.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users and client teams as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) modules.
- Proven expertise in SAP FICO configurations – Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Cost Center Accounting (CCA).
- Experience in Application Managed Services, including incident management, problem resolution, and change requests.
- Familiarity with integration between SAP FICO and other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD).
- Strong understanding of financial and controlling business processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on deadlines.
Preferred:
- SAP FICO certification.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance and experience in migration or implementation projects.
- Exposure to ITIL processes and AMS ticketing toolsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Experience in global or multi-country SAP environments.
Fluent English is mandatory, German language is an advantage
