Syntax
The Global Procurement Manager serves as an internal service provider for the global procurement of IT Hardware and IT Software.
This role ensures efficient management of procurement projects, drives cost optimization through strategic sourcing, and strengthens supplier relationships to achieve global procurement excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Act as an internal service provider for global procurement of IT Hardware and IT Software.Manage and execute international procurement projects across all business units.
Monitor, observe, and analyze trends in national and international procurement markets.
Plan and implement global procurement strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
Oversee supplier management for existing business relationships and performance improvement.
Serve as the interface to internal demand requesters and stakeholders.
Participate in the standardization and continuous optimization of procurement processes and workflows.
Main Tasks
Review purchasing requirements to ensure compliance with budget control and cost efficiency.
Conduct cost comparisons and benchmarking analyses to support decision-making.
Lead and coordinate tendering and bidding processes globally.
Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to secure optimal value for the organization.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value improvement initiatives.Manage global category and supplier portfolios and define corresponding strategies.
Prepare and conduct supplier evaluations and corrective action plans.
Support demand planning in collaboration with internal requesters.
Monitor and control key procurement performance indicators (KPIs).
Prepare and present approval proposals and reports for management review.
Ensure proper data management within procurement systems, maintain data accuracy, and drive reporting and analytics to support strategic decisions.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.5+ years of experience in international procurement, ideally in IT.
Strong knowledge of global procurement markets and sourcing best practices.
Experience in contract negotiations and supplier performance management.
Proven analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities in an international environment.
Fluent in English; German or additional languages are an asset.
